What I mean by that is, is there a version of wikipedia that is nothing but car parts? I want to be better well versed in the parts of a car. I also want to look at a part and go "hey, I know what that is. It does (insert function of the part)"

I kinda want to know all the intricacies of suspension and engines, and know what makes some parts different than another.

I know wikipedia is often good for looking at what parts do, but I was wondering if there was one that was solely dedicated to cars and their parts.

Look up buildup photoblogs of hotrods/race cars/mudders. There are many to be found. If you're interested in a particular model, google it; there's going to be an enthusiasts club with a forum that has lots of step-by-steps with pictures. I am pretty familiar with the Honda D-series now, simply because I bought a Civic that had everything wrong with it, then read the forums on the Civic enthusiast site. Walked me through replacing the tranny, clutch, timing belt, head gasket, and a whole lot more. Great resource for those who want to learn. A couple examples: miata.net honda-tech.com feoa.net
